Sick leave is accrued at the rate of four (4) hours per pay period (two weeks) from the date of employment and six (6) hours per pay period twenty (20) days after three (3) years of employment. Employment in any CSKT tribal entity will be counted. The maximum accumulation total for each employee shall not exceed 240 hours of Sick leave. No sick leave will be earned during a pay period in which the employee has taken leave without pay.
Each faculty member will receive a bank of sick leave equal to 1 day per month of contract time at the start of the contract year.
An employee will forfeit all unused sick leave upon the date of termination of employment of the college. The use of sick leave will be governed by the following:
- When an employee is absent on sick leave, the employee must notify his/her Supervisor the day they are absent.
- If five (5) or more days of sick leave are used consecutively, a doctor’s statement must be submitted to the Human Resource Officer.
