256.00 Family Medical Leave Act

Employees employed for at least 12 months may be eligible for unpaid leave of up to 12 weeks per year.  This leave should be requested to the supervisor in writing and may be taken for the birth of a child; adoption or foster care; to care for a child, spouse, or parent with a serious health condition; or due to the employee’s own serious health condition.
