The graduate programs’ curricula will prioritize students success, structured to enhance students’ development of contemporary knowledge, integration of indigenous knowledge, and competencies relevant to their fields of study. Graduate programs require depth of study within the appropriate field to develop student intellectual or creative capacities; knowledge of the field’s literature; and ongoing student engagement in research, scholarship, creative expression, and/or relevant professional practice.
The curricula will emphasize culturally sustaining education, addressing the unique educational needs of students engaged in work with or within reservation communities and those interacting with CSKT and Native American communities. Additionally, the curricula will ensure graduates are prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities and professions through service and research.
